The Commission start its Annual Workshop on planning for the year 2019
The Ethiopia Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social services commission (EECMY-DASSC) started its 2019 Annual Planning workshop and Review meeting officially on December 18, 2018 at Elilley International Hotel, Addis Ababa.
In the opening of the Workshop the deputy Chairperson of The EECMY-DASSC Board Member Mr.Sibilu Bodja said that the staff must work hard for achieving a great remark for securing the livelihood of many destitute Peoples of the country who depend on the Development and social service Commission.
Mr.Sibilu also added that as the time is change dynamically, it is important to do an active work in line with the new strategic plan of the Commission (2017-2021) and the countries GTP and SDG respectively. Further the board also emphasized the general global dynamics and said we have to lift our society up to the global standard through our development support.
The Ethiopia Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission commissioner Mr.Girma Borishie also made his opening remark speech with Thanks for the achievements of the work in 2018 and underlined his remark even though the achievement of the year 2018 is better it is also expect to scale up the achievement in the FY 2019.
The staff should prepare quality plan to reach the needs of the needy society. He further stated conflict affected areas that need humanitarian response, and development interventions in our country is vast thus making the work of the development commission important. Works like coordination of peace building and educating the citizens for peaceful co-existence is an upcoming ground in our country thus we should design new working plans on them and exert our maximum efforts.
In the first day of the work shop Southwest Area Coordination office, North Central Ethiopia Area coordination Office and west Ethiopia Area Coordination office offices present their 2019 Consolidate Annual planning and discussion and complementary remarks were also made by the Participant.
The Annual Workshop and the Review meeting has continued for the second day December 19th 2018 with presentation from south Eastern ACO, the Health and Nutrition Program, Child and Education program, Livelihood and Disaster and risk reduction programs.
