  • Beneficiaries of the project: 1,630 people (196 female) directly and 1,440 people (533 female) indirectly
  • Mainly focused on agricultural practices, income generating activities, and potable water supply and water Sanitation and hygiene.

Bure Ecologically Friendly Livelihood Enhancement Project (Darimu Eco-LivE Project)

  • Beneficiaries of the project: 2,672 HH (201 are Fhh) directly
  • Mainly focused on improved crop production and agricultural practices, income generating activities, and potable water supply and water Sanitation and hygiene.

Sayilem Mengeshi – Community Inclusion and Livelihood Improvement Project – Mengeshi Sang Site

  • Located in Gambella region, Mejeng zone, Mengeshi district
  • Found at the distant of 275 Km from the headquarter of the BO
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 2,000 HH directly
  • Mainly focused on income generating opportunities for Chab women, duty bearers’ capacity buildings, agriculture and natural resource management and education.
  • Project duration: January 2018-December 2021for four years (ongoing)

Sayilem Mengeshi – Community Inclusion and Livelihood Improvement Project – Sayilem Site

  • Located in SNNPRS region, Kaafa zone, Sayilem district
  • Found at the distant of 200 Km from the headquarter of the branch office
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 29,892 (14,793 male and 15,099 female) people directly
  • Mainly focused on improved crop production and agricultural practices, income generating activities, and potable water supply and water Sanitation and hygiene.
  • Project duration: January 2018-December 2021for four years (ongoing)
  • Financed by: Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM)

Chewaka Peanut Value Chain Project

  • Located in Oromia region, Buno Bedelle zone, Bure district
  • Found at the distant of 185 Km from the headquarter of the branch office
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 120 households’ (30 women households) directly.
  • The objective of the project is to improve the income of smallholder farmers through building production capacity and quality peanut marketing (harvesting, decorticating and storing).

Mettu Bethel Mekane Yesus Child Development Project (ET-567)

  • Located in Oromia region, Illubabor zone, Mettu district
  • Found in 02 Kebele of Mettu town
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 186 children (92 boys and 94 girls) in four kebeles directly.
  • It is home based child development project that renders mostly education and health services for orphaned vulnerable and destitute children.
  • The project emphasize on education, food subsidy, health, and emotional and psychological developments.
  • Project duration: January 2017 – December 2021

Mettu-Ketta Congregation Child Development Project (ET-568)

  • Located in Oromia region, Illubabor zone, Mettu district
  • Found in 01 Kebele of Mettu town
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 212 children (98 boys and 114 females) in three Kebeles directly.
  • It is home based child development project that renders mostly education and health services for orphaned vulnerable and destitute children.
  • The project emphasize on education, food subsidy, health, and emotional and psychological developments.
  • Project duration: January 2017 – December 2021

Bedelle Mekane Yesus Congregation Child Development Project (ET-555)

  • Located in Oromia region, Buno Bedelle zone, Mettu district
  • Found in 01 Kebele of Mettu town
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 225 children (117 boys and 108 females) in two Kebeles directly.
  • It is home based child development project that renders mostly education and health services for orphaned vulnerable and destitute children.
  • The project emphasize on education, food subsidy, health, and emotional and psychological developments.
  • Project duration: January 2014 – December 2018

Gore Home for Children (Hostel)

  • Located in Oromia region, Illubabor zone, Alle district, Gore town
  • Found at the distant of 20 Km from the headquarter of the BO
  • Beneficiaries of the project: 52 (21 girls) children directly
  • Mainly emphasize on rendering services for orphaned vulnerable children and children from destitute families for long decades. The hostel provides accommodation, food, clothes, educational and health services for the registered children.

  1. Health and Nutrition 

Aremi Human Clinic

  • Aremi clinic is the only self-help program of IBS BO, which is located in Aremi site, Darimu District, Illubabor zone of Oromia regional state.
  • The clinic has been operating in the area since 1984/85 Ethiopian great drought.
  • The clinic was located where the community has no alternative for health service in their vicinity.
  • The program focusing areas are preventive and curative treatments since its establishment.
